// Livaldi “Baba Jan” da Cruz (Salvador da Bahia, Brasil) percussion master Baba Jan is the musical director of “Bloco Afro” Samba Trovao and leader capoeira Angola group “FICA Maryland”. While in Brazil he was a performer with world famous samba reggae group Olodum’s youth orchestra and was a member of Grammy-nominated capoeira group Grupo de Capoeira Angola Pelourinho (GCAP).
